Jerry D’Alessio, PhD
VP Research and Advanced Engineering
Jerry has spent his entire 21year career in the area of orthopaedic medical device design and research. At Onkos, he plays a key role in decisions that affect the technical integrity of Onkos products and services. Prior to joining Onkos, Jerry held various development positions of increasing responsibility with Stryker, most recently as their Director of Research for their Robotic programs. During his time at Stryker, Jerry gained valuable experience with several technical business development investigations as well as their continued development and integration post acquisition. The key similarity in these endeavors was their focus on bringing advanced technologies into the Orthopaedic procedure which leveraged his passion for engineering and improving the current state of the art. Previous to Stryker, Jerry worked at Endotec Inc, an Orthopaedic implant R&D company focused on the design and analysis of artificial joints for all parts of the body along with oncology products.
Jerry has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and a Master of Science degree in biomedical from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he currently serves as a member of the university’s Industrial Advisory Board. In addition, Jerry holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in mechanical engineer from the same institution.
